Identifying the root cause of your discomfort

Rheumatic Disease can be quite difficult to identify in its early stages. This is predominantly due to the commonality of the symptoms which can mimic many other ailments. Therefore, a specialist would need to do an evaluation to determine if the symptoms are cause for further specialized treatment.

During a physical examination, a physician will look for swelling or tenderness and determine the temperature of the affected area in order to determine whether or not you might have Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Blood tests are also used by our physicians to determine the cause of the swelling. Our body releases erythrocyte sedimentation in large quantities that register on the blood test.

X-rays are used so we can see exactly where the swelling is occurring in the body.
